Mari holds a doctor’s degree in commerce from Osaka City University. She is the recipient of Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C) from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). She is a member of the Wholesale Market Committee in Osaka City. Mari researches organizational structures, focusing on the agricultural market. A graduate of Fukuoka University, she had extensive experience in researching the French wine industry, having lived and worked in Bordeaux. Her book, “The Dynamism of the Japanese Sake Distribution Industry” is available from all good resellers.
